As kids, upon discovering French fries, we may have thought, man, I could eat these all day! But somebody, likely our parents, stepped in to remind us that a healthy body requires balance and to eat our chicken and veggies.
As we age, social media, Netflix, shopping, alcohol and video games become our mental French fries, providing short-term but fleeting pleasure. But like the body, our mind requires a balanced diet, too. Learning, passions, exercise, travel and relationships are the chicken and veggies of the mind.
