Not too late to start a summer garden

by The 100 Companies

Haven’t had time to start your summer garden yet? The good news is, it’s not too late. There are still a number of fruits and vegetables that can thrive in Georgia, even after being planted in July.

This list is based on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map, which indicates which plants grow best in a region based on the average annual minimum winter temperature. With the metro Atlanta area falling between zones 7a – 8a, there are several plants that will still thrive in your garden, including:

Brussels sprouts
Cilantro
Corn
Cabbage
Carrots
Cucumbers
Dill
Eggplant
Okra
Onion
Peppers
Squash
