Food halls are not a new phenomena. There are those that have offered shoppers treats and meals for centuries, but in some major American cities, these developments are on the rise.
Atlanta’s Krog Street Market, Birmingham’s Pizitz Food Hall and San Francisco’s The Hall, for example, delight foodies and placemakers alike with their variety of options and communal vibes.
This trend is not slowing – thankfully – with Forsyth County’s HALCYON currently filling spaces in its food hall as part of its restaurant village, and The General Muir team working on its “micro-food hall” called The Canteen in Atlanta’s Tech Square.
