Raheem Morris, former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator, returns to the sidelines in Atlanta as the Falcons’ new head coach. Morris stood out the most from the 14 candidates interviewed and has over 25 years of experience in the NFL.
He also has a history of coaching the Atlanta team already: he previously held the roles of assistant head coach, pass game coordinator, wide receivers coach and defensive coordinator from 2015-20. Morris briefly became interim head coach in 2020.
As Morris’ team and staff take shape in Atlanta, he will also become the first full-time Black head coach in Falcon’s history.
