The president introduced 50 partners representing 200,000 units – including Atlanta-based Columbia Residential. Columbia has been on the industry forefront of environmental stewardship, incorporating innovative design, green construction methods and materials, as well as cutting-edge technology into its communities. As of July, it had nine LEED Silver, Gold or Platinum communities and three EarthCraft certified developments.

Columbia committed to cutting energy use in its housing portfolio by 20 percent within 10 years.
