Walkable community plans emerge for the Southside

by The 100 Companies

Plans for a mixed-use, walkable community project are in the works for the city of South Fulton. The plans include 67 acres with 793 residential units, including apartments, townhomes and standalone houses. Commercial and restaurant space will span about 66,000 square feet and parking spaces will be spread throughout, promoting walkability rather than traditional parking decks.

The project will be called Cedar Grove Village and is planned by Merrill Trust Group, the developer and owner of the Foxhall Resort & Residences in nearby Douglas County. The site’s location is 16 miles west of the airport and nine miles northeast of Serenbe.
