My college friend Ron loves living in a Midtown highrise. When we met at his place for dinner to discuss an upcoming reunion of our friends in Atlanta, he suggested we walk to one of his favorite neighborhood restaurants.
A short stroll away we entered the warm, inviting and delicious smelling Campagnolo. Being on a post-holiday semi diet, I passed over the rich-sounding dishes like gnocchi with arugula pesto and garlic chips and his recommendation of orecchiette with house fennel sausage.
But I was thrilled with the scallops over polenta cakes. We’ll be returning when our friends come.
