Fried catfish, pork belly toast with a side of history

The chocolate chip cookie may be the best I’ve ever eaten. It was a perfect ending to the Grant Park Past & Future Food Walk with Atlanta Food Walks. We also tried dishes at Six Feet Under and Firepit Pizza Tavern combined with a walk through Historic Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta’s oldest public park founded in 1850.

Atlanta Food Walks also hosts a Downtown Southern Food Walk that has been on pause but scheduled to resume this spring. I took that tour and learned about Paschal’s role in the civil rights movement and tasted its amazing fried chicken.

See more in our story.
