MARTA Market Food Pantry reopens to serve Atlanta communities

by The 100 Companies

The MARTA Market Food Pantry has made a triumphant return for the 2024 season, signaling a renewed commitment to combating food insecurity in Atlanta.

Teaming up with Community Farmers Markets and supported by Urban Recipe, Second Helpings and InTown Cares, MARTA has launched a series of free pantry events taking place through April 26. Held at various MARTA Market locations, the events aim to distribute fresh produce, shelf-stable items and frozen food.

Starting in May, when farmers’ produce is more bountiful, the MARTA Market will extend its reach to all MARTA stations, featuring farm stands within each station once per week.
