Tempting meals like these aren’t going to make keeping those resolutions any easier. But it’s worth extra gym time for the tasty Southern-style lunches being served on Saturdays and Sundays at Revival.
I could stick with items like tomato and dill soup served with cornbread, or salads loaded with charred winter vegetables.
But how could I turn down Blue Plate Specials like Carolina catfish, skillet roasted chicken or beef and pork meatloaf wrapped in bacon? Sides include roasted turnips and apples, Granny’s pole beans and mac ‘n cheese, in the only region of the world where it’s considered a vegetable.
