When celebrity chef and author Kevin Gillespie opened Gunshow in 2013, he wanted diners to feel like they were eating in his home rather than a traditional restaurant.
With his new restaurant, Revival, slated to open in Decatur on Church Street in June, his goal is for them to be reminded of a visit to Grandma’s for Sunday supper. Revisiting the traditional dishes he grew up eating, he plans to offer an updated version of “meat and three,” serving seasonal options that change daily.
While lunch will be à la carte, dinner will be family style. Just like at Grandma’s.
