Capitol View Manor Part 3

by Jan Schroder

Working last Saturday on the Capitol View Manor home I mentioned recently, I found a gentleman outside, admiring the 1930 home’s majestic setting. The magic in this neighborhood, adjacent to where we learned to lay bricks 40 years ago, continued.

He was looking for a home within walking distance of movies he produces. We bonded, he leased it, and sensing my reluctance to turn it over, he invited me to his open house. We shook hands.

His film crew will scout the nearby 1921 Masonic Temple, with its historic fourth-floor theater and rooftop view of downtown, for upcoming productions.
