Last week, Instagram introduced Instagram Stories. Like Snapchat, users can post photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours.
What does this mean for marketers?
• Share behind-the-scenes content for the perfectly composed images you post.
• Instagram’s newsfeed algorithm orders posts to show moments it believes you care about most. Instagram Stories are in chronological order, meaning brands can increase their visibility by frequently adding content.
• Increased two-way communication. For a Q&A session, users can send brands questions using Instagram Direct, and brands can respond via their stories.
• Another social platform to share live and engaging content.
