Best Gyros in Town

by

When I worked in the Flatiron Building downtown, my guilty treat was a huge, juicy gyro from Michael’s Deli. I haven’t been able to find an nearby equivalent, although the ones at Fresh 4 U Mediterranean Cafe are good and an easy drive from my house.

The best I’ve ever had are a bit of a drive, but worth a short detour if you’re headed to the airport. Nick Koulouris opened Grecian Gyro in 1982 on Virginia Avenue in Hapeville, and now there are five locations.

The gyros are a delicious blend of lamb and beef, with Nick’s special sauce.

Hey Jan! Try Nick’s at Hill Street and Memorial. Just had my first Gyro there and it was excellent. Looking forward to trying other things there.

Hope you are well.
