Last Tuesday afternoon wasn’t my typical workday. Surrounded by ROLOs and hash, I had the chance to taste Sweetwater Brewing Company’s newest hoppy endeavor: Hash Brown.
The newest in the hash series, preceded by Johnny Hash and Hop Hash, Hash Brown a drinkable, “weirdly robust” imperial IPA, reminiscent of melted ROLOs. Don’t worry about a looming possession charge. Hash refers to the byproducts left behind after the hops are pelletized.
Today is the first day to try Hash Brown at Sweetwater. Cans and bottles will be released in late August with a new bourbon barrel double stout on the horizon.
