Hear the screaming threats of the hostile mob and feel your chair being jostled. The interactive Lunch Counter exhibit at The Center for Civil and Human Rights puts you front and center of a 1960 reenactment of the attempted integration by African-Americans of a whites-only lunch counter.
That’s just one of the interactive experiences available at Atlanta’s newest museum that features four galleries for a sobering and inspiring look at the struggles of the American Civil Rights Movement.
The Center’s vision is to “serve as the ideal place to reflect on the past, transform the present and inspire the future.”
