Last Friday a small plane crashed onto I-285. An incomprehensible tragedy, three men and one woman were killed.
Incredibly, the pilot managed to avoid oncoming traffic. Though there were several close calls, no one else was injured – a miracle amidst catastrophe.
The crash shut down the top-end perimeter for hours. While many worried another Snowpocalypse-type situation was upon us, authorities worked tirelessly to handle the situation in the safest, quickest way possible. The accident was cleared before rush hour.
My hat is off to the authorities for their dedication, and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families.
