Doug Shipman, CEO of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, recently announced he is stepping down in June. Shipman has been involved with NCCHR for the past decade.
Shipman is best known for his strong and tenacious leadership that ultimately brought the Center to fruition, raising $45 million in private funding. Many believed NCCHR would never become a reality.
“Doug’s extremely dedicated and leaves large shoes to fill, but I believe he will go on to touch more lives through his leadership,” said John Goff, managing principal of DaVinci Development Collaborative, which partnered in the development of NCCHR.
