I’ll always remember that phone call to Murphy’s years ago.
I was beyond stressed working, with two young children, and no time to cook Thanksgiving dinner. One call and I was set: a full dinner with butternut squash soup, salad, turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, dressing, gravy, cranberry chutney and pie.
It’s guilt-free, too. I asked my daughter if she cared that I hadn’t cooked everything. “Thanksgiving is about family, Mom. Not about being in the kitchen all day.”
