On November 21, ATL Collective will recreate Nick Drake’s quiet gem, Pink Moon, and additional Nick Drake songs at Venkman’s in the Old Fourth Ward. Musicians include Athens-based Timbre as the featured artist as well as Marshall Ruffin, Anthony Aparo and Brenda Nicole Moorer.
Released in 1972, Pink Moon was Nick Drake’s third and final studio album before his death at the early age of 26. The album and artist gained a great deal of posthumous fame and critical acclaim following Volkswagen’s brilliant placement of the title track in their 1999 Cabriolet advertisement.
