With a lecture tonight, Georgia begins celebrating National Preservation Month. The Georgia Trust and Georgia Historic Preservation Division are hosting the sixth annual Preservation Month Lecture Series at Rhodes Hall. Tonight’s lecture discusses Georgia’s role in the Great Locomotive Chase during the Civil War. The month-long series hosted on Thursdays are free and open to the public.

Other events this month include the Spring Ramble in Cartersville, an exclusive tour of Atlanta’s Randolph Lucas House, a volunteer workday at Griffin City Hall and a railroad photography contest open to all. For the full list of events and details, visit www.GeorgiaTrust.org.
