Financial assistance available for some longtime BeltLine residents

by The 100 Companies

The development of the Atlanta BeltLine, and the revitalization that has come with it, has been a great benefit for locals and tourists. But for some homeowners along the BeltLine, it has also raised concerns of increased home appraisals, property appreciation and higher property taxes.

Implemented in December 2020, the Legacy Resident Retention Program is a resource open to residents in designated areas to cover the cost of increased property taxes that may result in displacement. The program operates as a grant and doesn’t require funds received to be paid back, and will offer assistance through the 2030 tax year.
