Earlier this summer it was announced the famed 9/11 light tribute, honoring those we lost, would not be shining this year due to the pandemic. It requires forty people to stage, and in close enough proximity, that officials had determined it could not happen this year.
In NYC fashion though, they’ve found a way to light the skies again.
The “Tribute in Light” will shine thanks to the joint efforts of city and state officials and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg who are providing the costs necessary for the forty electricians and technicians to spend a week safely preparing the lights.
