Pumpkin patches, corn mazes and apple picking – a few activities ripe for the cooler weather headed our way (we hope). Some of the top apple orchards are just a short, scenic drive away from Atlanta.
Mercier Orchards, located in Blue Ridge, is one of the largest apple orchards in Georgia, with tractor rides to its pumpkin patch also available. Hillcrest Orchards, located in Ellijay, is open for picking on Saturdays and Sundays. Ellijay’s B.J. Reece Orchards, which is open daily, also includes a petting farm.
