Tonight downtown Atlanta celebrates the grand re-opening of the 104-year-old Imperial Hotel.
Owners Columbia Residential and National Church Residences completely renovated what they have now renamed The Commons at Imperial. Many Atlanta community leaders will tour the landmark and toast its storied history and its new purpose.
The LEED Gold building now features 90 permanent supportive housing units with on-site services for residents with special needs or those coming out of homelessness.
The Commons will help residents stabilize and rebuild their lives through a proven “housing first” model. Each residence is equipped with an energy-efficient kitchen, bathroom and living space.
