Reindogs, gingerbread dogs and abominable snowdogs – oh my! The Atlanta Botanical Garden hosted the Reindog Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7. Pet owners decked their dogs in their holiday finery – including accessories ranging from antlers, red noses and Santa Claws’ hats to ribbons, pearls and poinsettias – to compete for prizes and attention.
One particularly mischievous pup’s sweater read, “Santa, I tried to be good, but I got bored.” Emcees Victoria Stilwell and Holly Firfer kept the crowd laughing as each dog strutted across the stage … well, with the exception of the contestants who insisted on being carried by their humans.
