Insurance lacking on school busses

You wouldn’t let your child ride with an uninsured driver, right? It may come as a shock then that many Georgia school districts don’t carry any liability insurance on their school buses. If a bus hits your car, you may be out of luck.

   If it hits your child, there may be as little as $5,000 of coverage. This week is National School Bus Safety Week. While the week focuses more on bus safety, it’s a good time to consider how the consequences of when accidents do happen.  Georgia’s insurance laws need to be changed for all of our protection.
