Halloween is the new Christmas, and I’m here for it. I walk regularly, and one of my favorite things this year is the increase in Halloween décor. My haunt-worthy neighborhood is filled with inflatable creatures, makeshift yard cemeteries, carved pumpkins, purple and orange lighting, witches, large cobwebs with fake spiders and more.
With WFH, virtual schooling and days running together, people are taking seasonal moments and turning them into an enjoyable change of scenery for all as well as a marker of time in this blurry COVID-19 calendar.
Buckle up; I predict Christmas comes to town early with epic décor.
