Today everyone has a camera on their phone, but as a youngster when my parents gave me a Kodak Instamatic 100 for Christmas, I was an anomaly.
I took badly composed photos of pets, friends, grade school classmates and my teachers – Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart at Christ the King. I took it to boarding school (at now notorious Georgetown Prep) before investing in better cameras and photography classes, which helped me compose better photos.
While those camera models are now relegated to museums, the images and memories find new life and enjoyment on Facebook and especially at reunions.
