Remembering MLK

by

Atlantans honored Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy on Monday through church tribute services, service projects,  rallies and more.

At the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King once preached, civil rights leaders and King’s family spoke during a commemorative service. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed told the congregation that he believed King would want today’s children to interpret King’s “I Have a Dream” speech as advice to stay in school and continue their education in order to better the world.

We joined those remembering King at the march and rally on Peachtree and Baker streets – check out the slide show above.
