Historical gem in Inman Park

by The 100 Companies

Nestled in Inman Park near Downtown, The Trolley Barn, built in 1889, originally served as the headquarters for the Atlanta and Edgewood Street Railway Company, playing a key role in the city’s early electric streetcar system.

Over the decades, the Barn has been repurposed multiple times, including stints as a church, basketball court and farmer’s market. Threatened with demolition in the 1970s, neighborhood residents banded together to save it through fundraising efforts and volunteer labor. After extensive restoration, it reopened in 1987.

Today, The Trolley Barn is a cherished event venue, preserving its historical significance and continuing to serve the community.
