Atlanta native Malcolm Brogdon broke another record Sunday, becoming the first named both ACC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
A humble, consummate team player, the public policy master’s student leads second-seeded Virginia into tonight’s ACC Tournament against Georgia Tech. He previously led Greater Atlanta Christian to two state championships. Malcolm’s mom Jann is a Morehouse psychology professor and father Mitchell is a mediator.
Playing his final college season, Malcolm hopes to win the ACC tournament, land a #1 seed and grace the Final Four. An NBA career – perhaps with the Hawks – awaits.
