When Daniel, 19, returned to his Kennesaw home one evening, his family unleashed a flurry of verbal and physical abuse over his homosexuality, eventually disowning and evicting him. After recording the incident on his phone and sharing with friends on YouTube, Daniel was quickly flooded with support from the LGBT community.
While the current 6 million+ YouTube views won’t help him start a new life now that he doesn’t have a place to call home, the $93,615 that was crowdfunded on a GoFundMe page set up by his boyfriend will.
