On Dec. 19, make plans to catch a classic one last time. “The Nutcracker” ballet has been an Atlanta tradition for years, and I, like many other locals, grew up going to see it each year. The music, the decorations and the costumes all signaled it was Christmas in Atlanta.

This year, the holiday favorite graces the Fox Theatre stage for a final season Dec. 7-24. With matinees and evening shows, fans are guaranteed a chance to see this show of epic proportions before it moves to Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $35-$140.
