As Atlanta ranks second on the nation’s list for income inequality, food insecurity is now more of an issue than ever before. With that in mind, food rescue non-profit Second Helpings Atlanta, popular meal-kit company Hello Fresh and America’s fifth-largest corrugated packaging company Pratt Industries are launching “Meals With Meaning” to aid this crisis.
The program will provide 8,000 meal kits with produce and protein each week to those in need throughout Atlanta, with a goal of distributing over 400,000 meals by the end of 2022.
