I appreciate when a musical band has played together for years and presents consistently tight performances. But a certain kind of magic happens when otherwise disparate accomplished musicians gather for a special occasion.
Such is the case next week when ATL Collective presents a song-for-song cover of Jimi Hendrix’s classic album, Are You Experienced at Westside’s impressive venue, Terminal West.
A group of my buddies will be there to rock to favorites such as “Foxey Lady,” “Manic Depression” and personal favorite, “Red House.” Jimi died at age 27 in 1970, but his unprecedented guitar prowess lives on, thankfully.
