Buying groceries is not my favorite chore – mostly because of long lines – yet I enjoy perusing the shelves for new treats. Now, one e-commerce giant is aiming to get rid of the lines and associated headaches.
Amazon debuted its new physical grocery store – Amazon Go. This 1,800-square-foot store in Seattle, which opens to the public in 2017, features prepared foods and grocery staples, as well as Amazon Meal Kits. Shoppers “check-in” using their smartphones, pick up items and leave the store with their Amazon account charged, with no lines.
Could this change grocery shopping forever?
