I hadn’t heard of Taleggio or cotechino before. This Italian cheese and salami-style sausage were ingredients in fresh pasta dishes my husband and I enjoyed at Storico Fresco, an Italian grocery store and restaurant in Buckhead.
After sharing the pi fasacc brown butter sage and bertu con guanciale, we had room for the light burnt ricotta pie with a texture similar to cheesecake.
In addition to serving lunch and dinner, Storico has a retail section with several types of fresh-cut pasta, sauces, pestos, breads and desserts. Chunks of white truffles ($150/lb!) were available for a true indulgence.
