Alpharetta’s Avalon is now officially the gold standard for U.S. design.
The mixed-use development took home the highest honor – gold – for New Developments at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ U.S. Design and Development Awards, held in Phoenix on Dec. 1. ICSC noted the $600 million development “transcends traditional benchmarks for new development” and as “a new standard for urban design in suburban cities.”
Talent on the project includes Atlanta-based Huie Design for wayfinding, signage and graphic design, Avalon-based Wakefield Beasley & Associates as architect and many others. See here for the full list of winners.
