Last summer, I wrote about SWH Residential Partners buying and planning to develop 3.3 acres, which included The Masquerade. This week, that development broke ground.
North + Line, a $60 million project to be completed in 2018, will be an eight-story building with 228 luxury apartments, Atlanta Magazine reports. When The Masquerade opened in 1989, North Avenue was “unremarkable and unsafe,” but it’s leaving the corridor as one of Atlanta’s hottest neighborhoods, buzzing with exciting developments such as Ponce City Market and 525 North.
The Masquerade will search for a new home, but for now, well, it’s in purgatory.
