Disclaimer: I’m a city-dwelling millennial.
A recent Fortune article claimed millennials feel “stuck” in cities and are about to head to suburbs in droves. While I appreciate the revitalization and urban cores – such as the inspired work by Vantage Realty and Kronberg Wall Architects in Duluth – being created in the ‘burbs, I thought the article must be wrong.
Using 1Q, I asked 100 Atlanta millennials if they hoped to live in the city or suburbs in the next 5-10 years. Sixty-eight percent said city, proving that at least in Atlanta, most millennials are planning on staying “stuck.”
