Horseback riding, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, golf, archery lessons, full-moon paddling, ranger-led hikes, swimming and fishing are just a few of the activities to enjoy at the more than 50 Georgia’s State Parks, celebrating their 85th anniversary this year.
Now you can add to that list a new program. Discover the little-known locations and artifacts of the parks’ 85,000 acres with Hidden Gems, which includes ranger-led events.
Check out a bald eagle nest at Chattahoochee Bend, see honeybees at work at Smithgall Woods and see a replica of the Mayflower at Roosevelt’s Little White House.
