As you hustled around looking for Black Friday deals in the mall last week, you probably took a break to eat. Options for eateries in malls may soon change, which could help revive the dying mall scene.
According to JLL, “Over the last 10 years, food and beverage operators have increased the amount of floorspace in shopping centers from seven to 15 percent.”
As malls continue to evolve, better food is key to increasing dwell time while shopping. Atlanta hotspots Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market have already put an emphasis on “gourmetisation” – and it seems to be working!
