Typically when a restaurant has a widely varied menu (seafood, chicken and pizza) it means no individual dish will rise above a 6/10. But in exceedingly rare cases, the opposite happens – everything turns out impressive.
Such is the case with the new Culinary Dropout location in West Midtown. The brainchild of James Beard-nominated restaurateur Sam Fox, Culinary Dropout offers “classic meals done right,” including homestyle fried chicken, truffle-covered deep dish pizza, steak frites, pretzel bites and slow-cooked, 36-hour pork ribs.
Like players on an NFL team, it’s clear that each individual dish had to earn its way to the menu.
