Celebrate spring at this one-of-a-kind Georgia festival

by katem

Every spring, the town of Vidalia, Georgia , hosts a festival that pays tribute to its world-famous Vidalia onions. Known for their sweet, mild flavor, these onions are harvested in the region and are the star of the festival.

The event includes a variety of activities, from a lively parade to a baking contest, showcasing the versatility of Vidalia onions in everything from pies to pickles. The festival isn’t just about food – it’s also a cultural celebration with music, arts and entertainment for the whole family, including an airshow with the Blue Angels.

This year’s festival is April 22 and 24-27.
