Oakland’s Illumine festival glows again

by katem

Oakland Cemetery’s annual Illumine festival returns April 17-27 from 7:30PM to 11PM nightly, transforming the historic grounds into a luminous art experience.

In partnership with Atlanta’s Cat Eye Creative, the event features installations by local artists, including Vanna Black and FRKO, live music, multiple bar stations, interactive exhibits and a pop-up shop. Purchase tickets online for $20 or at the gate for $25. VIP tickets provide exclusive access to the restored Oakland Bell Tower, offering skyline views, gourmet bites and a private bar. Children under age 5 attend at no cost.

All proceeds will support the Historic Oakland Foundation’s preservation efforts.
