The Atlanta Humane Society is packing up and moving out of West Midtown after nearly 80 years at its headquarters on Howell Mill Road. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports AHS is hoping for over $3 million per acre, meaning they could earn close to $10 million for the 2.2-acre site.
The location of the site is unbeatable; a stone’s throw away from Westside Provisions district and the area’s ultra-trendy stores and restaurants.
The sale would fund other AHS initiatives, such as a charitable hospital for Westside neighborhoods, a new adoption center and its West Midtown veterinary clinic.
