Tonight, according to a Facebook event page, a candlelight vigil will be held for the Kroger store on Ponce known to many as “Murder Kroger.”
The infamous grocery store is being redeveloped into a mixed-use development – 725 Ponce – featuring a new, 60,000-square-foot Kroger and 360,000 square feet of office space. Developer New City touts the project’s direct BeltLine entrance, city views and 900 parking spaces. The new Kroger will include an expanded organic foods selection.
If you feel the need to mourn the Atlanta icon and have candles to spare, the ceremony starts at 7PM.
