Whenever I’m in New Orleans, I love visiting the Pontchartrain Hotel’s Tin Roof bar. There’s nothing like enjoying a drink on a rooftop bar, and I’ve wondered why Atlanta doesn’t have as many rooftop attractions.
However, recent and upcoming projects are changing that. Next fall, Midtown’s Fox Theatre will debut two rooftop bars overlooking Peachtree Street.
They’ll be in good company. Ponce City Market’s Skyline Park is proving to be a hit, Linton’s in the Garden recently opened with a rooftop overlooking the garden and 1776 Peachtree – a Buckhead office building under renovation – is also adding a rooftop restaurant/bar.
