Sweatworking

by The 100 Companies

As an active member of NAIOP and other commercial real estate groups, Prologis Leasing Manager Tanner Hicklin is constantly networking.

As an alternative to traditional networking, Tanner also incorporates “sweatworking” into his repertoire. Weekly workouts and tennis games with other brokers distinguish him from other industrial brokers and allow him to strengthen relationships with prospective and current clients.

Sweatworking could be a new twist on after-work drinks with clients, or it could be a recruiting tool to challenge potential employees. Will spin classes replace nine holes? Maybe not, but it’s a refreshing option Tanner and others have already utilized successfully.
